Without wasting my time, i try to learn something about badminton from the internet. I'm watch some video from the youtube and try to search some book from the book store. I aslo ask my mom bring my badminton racket to singapore. After get my racket, i try to learn how to hold the racket and learn how to swing it. There are many way to swing the racket, like 'drop', 'smash', 'back hand' and others. Learning to swing the racket is not the easy.....
I'm also have to learn how to control my strength and hit the shuttlecock to the place i want to drop.
Furthermore, i'm also a good and fast responce and fast make decision to hit the shuttlecock to the place you want...
so, every day 6-7pm i'm practice at the side of my house. Luckly there is a empty space beside my house to give my a place to practice.....
This is i try to do improve my badminton skill without join the badminton club....

Fail to join the badminton club
In 2nd week, me and my friends use a long time to explore where is the badminton court. At last, we found it. Then we ask the player in the courts, they say they are not member from badminton club and their practice is on tuesdy & thusdy. Then we suppose to wait until thusdy and try to join. Thursdy.....we ask for joining the club, but the couch told us that badminton club is not the same as the other clubs. All the member of badminton club will be represent Nanyang Poly in any tournament held. Furthermore, he say that you should have great skill and got represent your secondary school. Because we are the beginer so that the couch refuse us.
When i heard that, i felt dissapointed and angry. However, we cant change the couch mind.....:(
At last, although i fail to join in the badminton club but i will find another way to archieve my goal without giving up .

First of all, before I’m tell my badminton traning story in school, I would like to you about badminton. Badminton is a racket sport played by either two opposing players or two opposing pairs. Playing badminton should have these basic equipment:

Ra
cket
Badminton racket are light, with top quality racquets weighing between 79 and 91 grams including the strings. They are composed of many different materials ranging from carbon fibre composite (graphite reinforced plastic) to solid steel, which may be augmented by a variety of materials. Carbon fibre has an excellent strength to weight ratio, is stiff, and gives excellent kinetic energy transfer.

minton court
The court is rectangular and divided into halves by a net. Courts are usually marked for both singles and doubles play, although the laws permit a court to be marked for singles only. The full width of the court is 6.1 metres and in singles this width is reduced to 5.18 metres. The full length of the court is 13.4 metres. The service courts are marked by a centre line dividing the width of the court, by a short service line at a distance of 1.98 metres from the net, and by the outer side and back boundaries. The net is 1.55 metres high at the edges and 1.524 metres high in the centre.

huttlecock
The ordinary shuttle contains 14 to 16 feathers, secured with thread. National associations may authorize substitutes, such as plastic, provided they do not materially alter the shuttle's behavior in play. Its mass is 73–85 grains (4.74–5.50 grams). Surprisingly, the shuttle in competition badminton is claimed to be the fastest object in sports.

inton shoes
Badminton shoes are lightweight with soles of rubber or similar high-grip, non-marking materials. Compared to running shoes, badminton shoes have little lateral support. Badminton shoes will have a very thin sole, lower a person's centre of gravity, and therefore result in fewer injuries. Players should also ensure that they learn safe and proper footwork, with the knee and foot in alignment on all lunges. This is not only a safety concern, as proper footwork is critical in order to move effectively around the court.

Badminton games can played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles or mixed doubles)
