During holidy, in malaysia.

During the holiday, i'm go back to malaysia,Ipoh.

This holiday I have to do many thing like prepare for commom test, meet my old friends, go back to secondary school to visit my teacher and also doing something to improve my badminton skill.
1st week of holiday, I ask my best friend, Alex to have a lunch. He is a quite handsome boy, now he is studying form6. He has a hobby that is playing badminton…
During lunch, we not only talk about our schooll life, i'm also ask him about the badminton. He started play badminton when in form1.
On that time, he is also a beginner, then he go to join the badminton club. In the club, teacher saw him was a beginner thn ask a senior to challenge him. When he heard that he quite shock and worry because before that he really don’t knw about the rules and also didn’t touch the shuttercock before. During match, he say he just run for the ball and try to hit it to opponent, but at last he just get 2 mark. After the match, teacher say that he was play very well and welcome him to join the club. After listening, he quite blur and just join the club.
Now he realize that, teacher let him play with senior because teacher wants to knw his weakness and strength. During training, teacher try to improve his skill and always ask senior play with him. Now he can play very well because he always enjoyed play with different player which who has a good skill in playing badminton. Playing with different player nto only can get experience on playing badminton, you also can know more friend...
Before after our lunch, he gave me some tips and hope me can improve my badminton skill

1. Flexible like a water
2. Play by heart not play by hard
3. Don’t dreaming or talking with somebody during competition
4. Always go to middle of the court after you hit the ball
5. Don’t always want to smash the ball and quick end de match. If not u will net the ball and lose many mark

6. Alwys PLAY your opponent like let him run de hold court n let him tired, thn u have a big chance to win
7. Always smile although you lose the match to show that you are a friendly person

8. Victory is not important, the most important is process of the competition

Busy....Busy

Busy....busy....

This week i'm busy prepare my computer lab test and math quiz. Although im busy on my test, i'm also done some researh about badminton. I'm also found a forum talk about the badminton. From the forum i'm found a post with tittle 'Advice for Beginning badminton players'.
In the forum, i'm found that i have to FOCUS ON CORRECT GRIP.

The most fundamental aspect of badminton technique is the grip. The grip is how a badminton holds the badminton racket. A correct grip is a pathway for a badminton player to improve upon their skills. on the contrary, using an incorrect grip is often a brickwall that leads to poor form and poorly executed techniques. It takes much more time to unlearn a bad technique than to learn one. Many of us have experienced it before the painful way.

The proper badminton grips may feel uncomfortable and unnatural in the beginning, but if you are able to get over that fact, later on you will appreciate what you have learned. There are two basic grips for badminton, the forehand grip and the backhand grip.

2nd, i have to FOCUS ON FOOTWORK.

We cannot stress the importance of footwork more. Footwork is the skill that allows you to move from point to point in the badminton court. While it sounds like an easy concept, in fact it is one of the most difficult skills in badminton. The reason footwork is so important is very simple: if you cannot get there in time, it is useless to have the best racket skill. The Cororary of that is that, the earlier you can get to the shuttle, the more choices of shots you have and the more you can pressure your opponent.

Lee Jae Bok, an ex-Korean national player, once says:"You hit shuttle with your feet."

Footwork is one of the most difficult aspects of badminton. It takes a lot of time to learn, as well as a lot of time to practice. It is often less practiced because of the lack of venue. It is quite uncommon and anti-social for someone to take up ½ of a badminton court to practice footwork while everybody waits on the sideline. Despite so, it is still very important. A professional player can move around the court very effortlessly solely because they have very good footwork technique, they do make it look very easy but in fact, it takes many years of very hard work to master it.

And there is many useful information about to improve badminton skill in thje forum.

After i read the forum i have know more about badminton and i also got many advice on improve my skill.

Futhermore, i'm also register school badminton competition on 13-17 July(week 13). Hope i can improve my skill and see my result during competition.
God bless me....

Book a Court

On Sunday, I book a court near of my house. The court is at the Geylang Serai Community Centre. We booked the court is at the night because it always full booked at the weekend.

Now, i have to introduce my cousin, Daniel. He is a good badminton player and he is represent his school to have competition with other schools.

On that night, we just take our racket and didnt take shuttercock.WHY? Daniel said now im not suitable to play badminton 1st, so on that day he just let me to practice my speed 1st.

He want me start to run at the front left corner of the court, then run to the right side of the court, then run to the left back of the court and.........is very confuse. And he say want me to repeat the movement 1 time at 10 seconds. But i run the court by using 20 seconds.......

so on that night, i just run, run, run the court.........like a crazy guy.
